Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber, founders of the Nashville electro-R&B duo Cherub, met in 2006 while studying music production at Middle Tennessee State University.
∙ Cherub was invited to open for STS9 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2012, after having released just two indie albums.
∙ In 2013, they earned a major-label record deal, thanks to the viral video for “Doses & Mimosas”—a song inspired by a party-loving dude they met in an Alabama liquor store.
∙ “Doses & Mimosas” became a Top 25 hit on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart in 2014.
∙ Huber sang “Walk This Way” with Run-DMC’s Darryl McDaniels at Bonnaroo’s Superjam in 2015.
∙ The duo are long-time T.I. fans and collaborated with the rapper on the 2016 electro-R&B single “Signs.”
∙ They have been known to don ridiculous wigs and play secret shows using the alter ego Snicklefritz.
