Miami-born producer TM88 became an integral contributor to the rise of Atlanta rap music in the mid-2000s with his ability to conjure trap beats out of thin air. Rather than stick to the sounds that made him, though, 88 evolved his perspective and embraced a new generation of stars, imbuing late 2010s and early 2020s trends like melodic drill, trap-pop, and club-infused rap music with his arsenal of crushing bass drums, glimmering synths, and snappy snares.
