shazam reviews
After compilations from such highly regarded DJ’s such as Erol Alkan and Simian Mobile Disco, it seemed strange that the Bugged Out team turned to current NME favorites Klaxons to deliver their next installment. However this two disc compilation goes some way to break the myth that DJ sets by bands will consist of badly mixed indie songs. The album is split into two discs; Bugged Out and Bugged In. On the first disc Jamie Reynolds takes us on a techno fuelled journey through his record box. Although it borders on ear bleeding it boasts some great mixes with Luke Vibert, The Chemical Brothers and Justice featuring.
The second disc is a more relaxed affair that features some gems from Wu-Tang Clan, Todd Rungren & Blur. Although the bands own music may divide opinions, its impossible to deny they have good taste.
