Leaving momentarily her cheesy R’n’b rap style to reach an even wider, more adult audience while keeping the Black Eyed Peas brand’s profits rocketing, Fergie jumps into the AOR minefield with this rocky ballad, that unexpectedly enough is not half as unpleasant as any of her other staff. “Big Girls Don’t Cry” is one of those songs stereotypically designed to be played to death in US (and the rest of the globe by extention) mainstream radio stations and could have been sung by virtually anybody who’s big in that country, from Nickelback to Cher. Recently topped her country’s charts and is very close to having a similar fate in our shores.  shazam
