Let Me Know: Album Version

After the slightly underwhelming but still groovy "Overpowered" ex Moloko singer Róisín Murphy sees a true return to form with her second single from her latest album, "Let Me Know." Adopting a classic piano laden disco groove complete with retro synth baseline harking back to the days of classic D-Train and early Prince the record takes a serious nod to the dance floors of the early 80's where the suit sleeves were rolled to the elbow and up-tempo soul ruled the roost. This should not come as a a surprise when we find out "Let Me Know" was inspired by recent work with veteran NYC producer Danny Krivit; a man responsible for some of the most influential disco, soul and house gems of the last 30 years and whose eye for a catchy melody and pop sensibility has appeared to have rubbed off well on this latest offering. Already being embraced by Kiss FM and Radio 1 "Let Me Know" could be the track throws Róisín back into the public consciousness and could even recreate some of the cross-over appeal she achieved with "Sing It Back" and "The Time Is Now"; although in all likely hood nowhere near the same scale.  shazam
