Like a Terence Trent D'Arby for the XXIst century, David Jordan stands out from the dull batch of recent male singers, bringing to mind former and more iconic ones (Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Seal) thanks to a style that covers a wide spectrum of pop, rock and soul sources. "Sun Goes Down", his debut album's title track showcases Jordan's eclecticism at his best, in an original number that could be described as Folk-rock meets soul; where his R&B-tinged voice gets engaged in traditional-like chants. Trevor Horn's master hand at the controls manages to underline its peculiar charms.
