A&E: Single Version

Introducing the new, improved, more organic Goldfrapp; leaving behind the glamorous electro-skiffle sound of "Supernatural" and recycling themselves into a folktronica act, powering the acoustic with small hints of the electric, in a moment when music fans may be getting away from the nu-folk revival. "A&E" is a pleasant, if slightly unsubstantial, first taste for “Seventh Tree”. Alison Goldfrapp's voice shines again, but the song doesn't really allow much flaunting. A few remixes are prepared to inject extra life into the rather dull original; among them an uplifting Gui Boratto's dub mix, not light years away from the Brazilian DJ's celebrated "Beautiful Life".  shazam
