shazam reviews
The first wave of EMO bands were hailed and acclaimed as the heirs of Fugazi's hardcore spirit, a decade down the line the genre’s credibility has virtually disappeared, thanks to a second batch of groups putting more emphasis in their looks than in their sounds. Panic! at the Disco could well be described as the poster boys of EMO, making a career out of pretentiously long track titles and second-hand lyrical angst that connect with a generation of post-goth teenagers. All well produced and calculated, but ultimately quite hollow.
