More Scottish young talent hitting the spotlight: the record industry has high hopes for Amy McDonalds to become this year’s KT Tunstall. The nineteen year old Glaswegian, blessed with a clean voice and an even cleaner image, occupies that same pleasant folk-rock territory that appeals both to the less rebellious kids and their parents.
Apparently, she blames Fran Healy and Pete Doherty for her urge to grab a guitar and learn how to use it at the tender age of 12. And “Mr. Rock and roll” lyrics could have been inspired by the life of the troubled ex-Libertine, indeed.
