This five piece band from Colorado are members of the current wave of US bands trying to follow the epic mellow style of their trendier counterparts from across the Atlantic. After a troubled beginning, being forced to leave the first label that signed them without releasing their already made debut, the almighty Timbaland has given them a second chance by remixing this track, changing what formerly sounded like a Coldplay B-side into a soul-tinged ballad that could have proudly sit within any 80’s pop star’s repertoire, for his multi-collaboration solo effort “Shock Value”; an album that, despite having earned rather bad reviews, has already spawned two huge smashes. OneRepublic are likely to follow the path of Timbo’s duets with Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake or Keyshia Cole up to the top of the global charts.
