Little was known about this artist from L.A., apart from the fact that he's been signed by Island and his new song "Black & Gold" is the most perfect blend of a classy soulful voice with trendy Electronica (DFA, nu-disco) since Jamie Lidell released his cult classic "Multiply". Born in Australia but moved to the USA as a child, the grandson of a jazz trumpeter, who used to play for Frank Sinatra; Sparro trained his voice at church next to some of the greatest session singers in LA. His presentation card is an irresistible number that, according to his biography, was equally inspired by 70's and 80's funk artists like Prince and Chaka Khan as by electro and house music.
