Fascination

Danish pop act Alphabeat may not be a familiar name but with a Radio 1 ‘B’ list on their debut single, and heavy support from tipsters such as popjustice.com, this could all be about to change. Already a Platinum selling act in their homeland, the boy/girl six piece recently decamped to East London in a bid to spread their shiny, fun-time pop further afield, the results of which have seen the band draw comparisons to Roxette and The B52’s. Summery, upbeat and insanely catchy “Fascination,” screams ‘radio hit’ and is sure to be flying up the iD / Tag Chart in coming weeks. Keep an eye on Alphabeat, they may just be the next unashamedly pop act that “it’s OK to like” in 2008.  shazam
