About Helena

An accomplished musician, actress, model, author, and playwright, Helena Noguerra was born in Brussels, Belgium, in 1969. Her parents were Portuguese immigrants, and their daughter's talent for learning multiple languages was sparked at an early age. Lio, Helena's older half-sister, became a French pop star during her teenage years, and Helena subsequently relocated to Paris to enjoy her own success as a teenaged model. Forays into film, radio, and television followed, and Helena tentatively entered the musical arena in 1989, releasing a single entitled "Lunettes Noires". Nine years later, she sang several songs on Ollano's debut album and launched a solo career career with Bikini. After signing with Sunnyside Records, Helena returned in 2001 with Azul, an album that combined her dusky vocals with bossa nova rhythms. Helena's first novel, L'Ennemi Est á l'Interiéur, was published the following year, and she continued her diverse career as a French media sensation by releasing Née Dans la Nature in 2004, Bang! Dillinger Girl & Baby Face Nelson in 2005, and Fraise Vanille (a tribute to Serge Rezvani) in 2007. ~ Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide

Another Way To Die Another Way To Die
Alicia Keys & Jack White
When Jack White and Alicia Keys were asked to write the theme to the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace, it wasnt exactly the straightforward task you might imagine. Not only did they have to take the place of a much anticipated effort from Amy Winehouse, which predictably never materialised, they were also faced with the challenge of writing a theme for one of the most awkwardly phrased Bond films of all time. Quantum of Solace hardly rolls off the tongue after all! The result is a workmanlike effort that draws on many trademark elements of both the Bond franchise and the musicians musical repertoire. With snarling guitar riffs from Jack, overblown vocals and twinkling piano from Alicia and a few orchestral style stabs that hark back to the original John Barry theme, Another Way to Die is equal but no better than the sum of its parts. Despite popjustice.com branding the track the worst Bond theme of all time this song will fulfil its design brief when the credits to the film are rolling as it has enough OTT touches to make the expensive graphics look cool.
