Belgian rock band Soulwax was formed by singer Stephen Dewaele and his guitarist brother David, sons of the influential Belgian radio personality Zaki. With bassist Stefaan Van Leuven and drummer Piet Dierickx, the group recorded their debut EP 2nd Handsome Blues in 1995, traveling to Los Angeles to work with producer Chris Goss for 1996's full-length follow-up Leave the Story Untold. Much Against Everyone's Advice followed two years later, and was released in the U.S. on Almo Sounds in the fall of 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
