Just Can't Get Enough Just Can't Get Enough
The Saturdays
Another successful member of the Fascination Records stable, (Cheryl Cole, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Girls Can't Catch), The Saturdays are looking to mirror the ascendancy of label mates Girls Aloud and establish themselves as the UK's premier girl group. With their debut album 'Chasing Lights' achieving platinum status it looks as if they are on the right track. They released 'Just Can't Get Enough' in 2009 as the official single for Comic Relief and attained the dubious honour of being the first Comic Relief artists in 14 years not to hit the number one spot, being pipped at the post by Flo Rida & Ke$ha's 'Right Round'. However it was The Saturdays best charting single and their fourth consecutive top ten hit. The track is a cover of a Depeche Mode song from 1981 penned by former member Vince Clarke who went on to great things with Erasure and Yazoo. The track is given a straight-forward treatment by the girls who share vocal duties, putting in a decent effort over a catchy four note keyboard motif, one of the simplest hooks in pop. ~Martin Gadgil.
