Suddenly I See Suddenly I See
KT Tunstall

KT Tunstall's third UK single, 'Suddenly I See', begins with a rather rough guitar riff that has become imbedded in the minds of many TV/film fans thanks to the track's heavy use in both (see 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'Ugly Betty' and many more). The song is said by some to be a girl-power anthem, and certainly describes a moment of positive realisation and reinvigoration. Although Tunstall's voice is far from your average pop star's multi-octave-spanning tool of music, her rougher more driving voice lends itself very well to the tune and produces a sound that is somewhere between pop, rock and possibly even hints at country with its chugging guitar. 'Suddenly I See' was quite successful for KT and became especially instrumental in helping her break overseas markets, reaching #6 in Australia and #21 in the US. For most music fans, it remains the first point of reference when Tunstall is mentioned, and with good reason. ~John Rowley. Copyright (c) Shazam Entertainment Limited 2009. All rights reserved
