Ready For The Floor Hot Chip |

|
Distinctly British sounding electropop outfit Hot Chip have only been around for a few years but they have made their mark with a variety of singles, three albums and enough remixes to wear out a drum machine. With the current popularity of all things with 'electro' in the name Hot Chip are currently working on a fourth studio album which should see their success continuing. However, despite the label, Hot Chip are not quite in the same mould as Little Boots or La Roux. Although there is unquestionably an electronic vein running through their music, particularly in the percussion department, they also quite happy to indulge their other tastes, utilising guitar, bass and even the odd piano led ballad from time to time. 'Ready For The Floor' however is one of their more uptempo numbers, perhaps best described as 'polite dance music'. It's a catchy synth-based tune that will have you humming along in no time. Somewhat reminiscent of 'Dare' era Human League, but with better haircuts. ~Martin Gadgil. Copyright (c) Shazam Entertainment Limited 2009. All rights reserved |
