This Bud collection covers various points in Day's career, from the middle of her tenure with Les Brown's orchestra to her later years recording with various ensembles and orchestras during her solo career (which paralleled her emergence as a silver screen star). Kudos to Bud for taking time with the remastering, as the sound quality is crystal clear and bright, but not too punchy. Fans of Day will no doubt enjoy her take on Ellington's "Tulip or Turnip" and the selections from the songbooks of Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, and Porter.
