In a classic paradox, the brilliant accordionist/keyboardist Sivuca is at his most original when nearest his northeastern forro roots. His funk-jazz is fine but not all that original, but on accordion and above all in forro-plus, he's superb. Check out "Roseiro da Norte" here, or "Nas Quebradas."
