Lostprophets

Welsh rockers Lostprophets released the second single from their 'The Betrayed' album in early 2010 to the usual enthusiastic reception. Reaching number 32 on the UK singles chart it received widespread airplay and was seen as a worthy follow up to the first single from the album 'It's Not The End Of The World But I Can See It From Here'. Described as a "love letter to being home", and written after an extended visit to the USA to record the album, it shows the more commercial side of the band, with angsty verses balanced out by a chorus that borders on the anthemic and will be sure to go down a storm at live gigs. Despite an overall feeling of optimism and a flirtation with slightly poppier elements there's no let up in the guitar department as the 'prophets still manage to find the '11' setting on their amplifiers. ~Martin Gadgil.
