Battlefield Jordin Sparks |

Jordin Sparks found fame after becoming the youngest ever winner of the television talent show American Idol. She neatly stepped out of the shadow of the competition with a debut album in 2007 that contained 4 US Top 20 singles, the highlight of which was the hugely successful 'No Air'. 'Battlefield' has a distinct soft rock influence courtesy of One Republic's Ryan Tedder who performed production and writing duties on the track. Reminiscent of Tedder's previous work with R&B divas, specifically Beyonc‚'s 'Halo' and Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love', 'Battlefield's' intro and verses build slowly and melodically to a swelling heartfelt chorus.
