About Alabama
This Toronto quartet, led by songwriters Buster Fykes and Rick Knight, used a Cajun music style with elements of country and Southern soul. Alabama released two singles ("Song of Love" and "Highway Driving") and an album (Close to Home) in 1973 on Smile, distributed by London. The band also included Hector McLean and Len Sembaluk. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
