How can I get the new version of Shazam for my phone?
You can download Shazam from the Windows Phone Store.
If you’ve never installed Shazam before, it’s very easy. Open Windows Phone Store on your device then search for Shazam. From there you can simply click “Install”.
If you already have an earlier version of Shazam on your phone, open Windows Phone Store and tap on “Update”.

Which phones does it work on?
Shazam is compatible with all Windows Phone devices which comply with Microsoft guidelines.
Will Shazam for Windows Phone work in other languages?
Shazam currently supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
How much does Shazam on Windows Phone cost?
There are two versions of the Application.
Shazam – The free* version of the App with unlimited tagging.
Shazam Encore – The premium version of the App with additional features priced at $5.99, £4.99, €5.49.

Will I lose my Tags if I update to the latest version of Shazam?
Your Tag List will be retained when you update. However, please ensure that you don't delete the current version of Shazam before updating.
You’ll only lose your Tag List if you delete the free version of Shazam from your device.
Once you’ve upgraded to the premium version of our App, your free App will automatically include unlimited tagging and Recommendations.
I’ve upgraded to Shazam Encore, I have 2 Shazam Applications now, do I need both?
Shazam Encore is a separate application and you don’t need to keep Shazam if you have upgraded, but you will lose any tags which you have made in Shazam. We’re working on a mechanism to import your Tag History from Shazam to Shazam Encore, so if that is of interest, we suggest you keep Shazam for now.
The video on YouTube is not by the artist I tagged. Why?
We carry out a lookup on YouTube and we get the best match. However, we rely on YouTube to maintain their content and ensure the appropriate videos appear with the right Tags.
I've heard there are lyrics in the app but I can't see them. Why?
Lyrics are licensed to us and our suppliers on a territory-by-territory basis so it is most likely that we do not yet have an agreement to display them where you are.
Lyrics are available in the following countries: US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia and New Zealand
I don't have a Windows Phone device, can I still get Shazam?
Shazam is available across a wide range of handsets and Mobile Application Stores. Visit the Get Shazam page on our website for more info.
How big is the App?
The application file size is approximately 2MB.
How much data will I use?
Shazam will record and send data from your device and receive tag information and artwork which will normally total around 55KB of data. The audio recording is not stored permanently on the handset. The total amount of data you will download will be dependent on the number of times you view the page and what's displayed on the page. You'll use anything between 1KB and 30KB when you download an advert.
