Infrastructure Manager

Due to the continued growth at Shazam we have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Operations Manager/Director within our Technical Operations organisation.  Shazam is undergoing tremendous growth and enhancing and managing our operations infrastructure is critical to our success.  The person in this highly visible role will have tremendous impact on the business and as such needs to be highly motivated with a strong ability to lead technical teams.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

The Infrastructure Operations team has responsibility for the following areas:

  • The worldwide production and office networks spanning multiple sites in the UK, US, and Canada.

  • On-Demand physical and virtual compute, storage, and network capacity.

  • The design, implementation, and maintenance of physical infrastructure (e.g. physical compute in leased datacentres)

  • The operations and management of core systems infrastructure services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, NTPD, etc.)

  • The operation and management of 3rd party software platforms (e.g. Oracle & Database Administration)

  • The security of the network (monitoring, detection, protection)

  • The 24x7 network operations centre, covering monitoring, escalation, coordination and first tier resolution of incidents and outages.

Qualifications & Experience

  • You are an experienced operations professional with a strong background in systems and network administration.

  • You have a strong work ethic, and believe in doing things “right”.

  • You understand the importance of providing the corporate "Dialtone" and all that entails.

  • You thrive in an environment of rapid change and believe in Open Source solutions.

  • You enjoy agile methodologies and approaches, and the principles embodied in the agile manifesto (http://agilemanifesto.org/)
