Raised in Downtown Los Angeles, Cherrytree/Interscope artists Far East Movement (Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman) embody the pulse of contemporary LA. The group paid their dues in the LA underground club scene, slowly expanding their fan base until they became city-wide stars in the wake of their first LA chart topping pop hit, “Girls on the Dance Floor.” They made
history when 2010’s multi-platinum selling “Like a G6” achieved more than 1.8 million tags on Shazam and became the first #1 Billboard Hot 100 song ever achieved by an Asian-American group and followed with another Billboard Top 10 smash "Rocketeer." Their latest album Dirty Bass, due out June 12, 2012, is their finest movement yet. The album's first single, “Live My Life” is an anthemic all-night dance party featuring Justin Bieber has already achieved more than a million tags and has reached Top 20 on the Billboard charts and #2 on iTunes almost instantly.
With the industry’s fastest unlimited tagging in the apps on iOS and Android devices, Shazam is the best way for people to discover, explore, buy, and share more music, TV shows and branded content they love. For people who don't yet have the Shazam application on their smartphone, it is available for every major platform and can be found on iTunes App Store, Google play, Amazon App Store, AT&T’s AppCenter, Verizon VCast app store, Nokia Store, Windows Phone Marketplace, BlackBerry App World, and GetJar.
