Raven Maize

DJ/remixer/producer Joey Negro (born Dave Lee) aka Jakatta started using his Raven Maize persona while working on "Forever Together," released by his own label called Republic. Captivated by different contemporary rhythms while selling records in a music store, his first release introduced him as M-D-EMM. Known as one of the pioneers of the British garage/house, Joey Negro decided to bring his alter ego back to life before issuing "The Real Life," a club/dance hit featuring samples from Simple Minds' "Theme for Great Cities" and Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
