Enemies Like This

Radio 4

Radio 4 made their Los Angeles debut in early 1997 as the four-piece brought on their synth pop of sloppy indie that looked up to Pavement, Stereolab, the Beatles, and Built to Spill. Eventually consisting of Micah Calabrese, Anh Quach, David Franklin, and Kangmin Shin after several lineup changes, Radio 4's debut EP, I'm Peeing Micah, was self-released the year they got together. But by the time the band contributed to the 1999 Kittridge Records compilation Sidewalk Chalk Adventures -- with their ironically titled song "Guess It's Over" -- internal conflicts and the fact that there was another band called Radio 4 broke the band up in 1999. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
