Shazam's Review

As their album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" began to drop steadily down the charts, Maroon 5 surely found themselves wondering how they could resurrect the record and prevent it from landing in discount bins across the globe. Then a light bulb moment must have occurred - why not call in the world's pop princess of the moment, Rihanna, for a duet?! The resulting single, a re-work of one of the group's old songs, was called 'If I Never See Your Face Again' and appeared on the re-releases of both Rihanna's and Maroon 5's respective albums. At first 'If I Never See Your Face Again' sounds very fresh and exciting, mixing two of pop's most prolific voices to create a high-energy, sexually-charged track. It does work quite well as a duet, with new lyrics and a re-worked sound combining Maroon 5's well-trodden rock territory with Rihanna's more electronic sound. However, after numerous listens the song does seem to reach saturation point, becoming somewhat predictable and boring for some.
