'Fall for You' is the platinum-selling single from A Twist in My Story, the second album from Secondhand Serenade. Serenade, whose real alias is John Vesely, is an American acoustic guitarist and soloist.
At first it may appear as if the song is just another American teen punk offering. The opening chords of the song may echo of American Pie, but Vesely's vocals lift the song well beyond mundanity, as the power in his voice resonates to impressive effect. It becomes clear that it is a love song when Vesely's piano piece kicks in. By the time the band bursts into life, 'Fall for You' has morphed into a soaring and euphoric love story.
The tune is a genuinely impassioned ballad. Telling the story of a couple that keep coming back to each other time and again, it has an anthemic quality. The final burst of vocals will have listeners singing along with passion.
