'My Humps' is a song so simple, so obvious, yet it is still something that no one other than the Black Eyed Peas could come up with, or pull off for that matter. It was the first song in which Fergie really took centre stage, and produced impressive results! 'My Humps' peaked within the Top 3 in the US, UK, Australia and a countless number of European countries. The song has become a pop culture icon of sorts, inspiring countless parodies (including an unforgettable Alanis Morissette cover) and references since its 2005 release. It is actually rather difficult to pinpoint what exactly about the song makes it so oddly appealing - the dumb yet intriguing lyrics, the simple backing, or the familiar yet original melody?
