Street Soldat (feat.La Fouine)

Green

Chicago power pop band Green was formed in the mid-'80s by guitarist/singer/songwriter Jeff Lescher, whose influences included the Kinks, T. Rex, and soul music. Although such albums as Green (1986) and Elaine MacKenzie (1988) were fairly popular in Holland, Green never had much exposure in their home country. 1991's White Soul marked a peak in songwriting, although its unfocused 1992 follow-up, The Pop Tarts, was half power pop and half grunge in an unsuccessful attempt to gain a wider audience. After the three-song Le Pathetique EP in 1993, the band fell silent. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
