Shazam's Review

The Pussycat Dolls follow up their rather wonderful 'When I Grow Up' with their next single from their second album 'Doll Domination'. People may dismiss them as just an entertainment vehicle because of their burlesque history; racy videos and raunchy stage routines, but they have, in fact, a excellent singer at their helm, Nicole Scherzinger, who faultlessly delivers the main & most of the backing vocals on this mid-tempo, R&B eletro-pop tune. The chorus is catchy enough, with the lyrics telling the story of a woman leaving a overpowering partner. The things that make this tune interesting are the bhangra-like effects running through the song; the occasional use of a vocoder and of course,the presence of no-other-than- Missy Elliott doing the rap, which does add a certain gravitas to proceedings. She even dates the song with a contemporary reference to Katy Perry's hit 'I Kissed A Girl'. The airplay and current enthusiasm for the band will ensure another top 10 record, but woun't be remembered as fondly as their previous song or their all-time standout effort 'Don't Cha'. However their over-exposure: constant tv appearances & their world tour will certainly add to their likeability and possible global Domination!! S.Ayling.
