Shazam's Review

Hands down the best posse cut of 2009 if you're taking the recommendations of Jay-Z (and let's face it, who wouldn't?), former 'Degrassi: The Next Generation' star Drake unites three titans of the rap game for six minutes of lyrical heaven with 'Forever'. Throwing down verbal supremacy over a backdrop of skittering drum patterns, air horns, jagged effects and, as is the case with Lil' Wayne's section, sprinklings of broken-sounding barroom piano. West puts on his most captivating display since the Spike Jonze 'We Were Once A Fairytale' short film before a napalm-like vocal detonation from Marshall Mathers III proves that he can light up a guest spot like few others. A taste of what to expect as far as Drake's 2010 debut album 'Thank Me Later' goes, BET's 2009 Most Valuable Player is swiftly proving he's got the Midas touch. ~ James Sharples (c) Shazam Entertainment Limited 2009.
