Berry is a critically acclaimed French singer/songwriter whose jazz-inflected style of music is rooted deeply in the tradition of chanson française. Born Élise Pottier, she made her full-length album debut in 2008 with Mademoiselle on Mercury Records. A collaboration with composer/producer Manou, plus producers Lionel Dudognon and Erwin Autrique, Mademoiselle was critically acclaimed upon its release and was ultimately nominated for a 2009 Victoires de la Musique award in the category of Album Révélation de l'Année (i.e., Best Album by a New Artist).
