Tim Toupet
Known as "The Singing Barber," Tim Toupet is a German hair stylist who operates a successful salon in Koln, but has also enjoyed success as a pop singer. Born on October 28, 1971, Toupet specializes in upbeat pop tunes, often with lyrics suitable for singalongs at parties; his music has found an enthusiastic following at Ballerman 6, a popular beachside tavern in Mallorca favored by German tourists. Toupet made his recording debut with the single "Yippie Jaja Yippie Noch En Kölsch" in 2004, but scored his first chart hit the following year with the appropriately titled "Du Hast Die Haare Schön" (in English, "You Have Beautiful Hair"). In 2008, Toupet reached the German top ten with his song "Ich Bin Ein Döner," which rose to number eight on the pop charts, and a year later, he fared even better with "
