Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I vividly remember riding around in my mama's red 1991 Ford Escort listening to a Prince cassette tape. 'When Doves Cry' was the first Prince record I heard, and it blew me away as a kid because I couldn't believe a guy could sing like that
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, Graduation Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool (Deluxe Edition) OutKast, ATLiens Graduation was the first actual hip hop album that I listened to from start to finish. ATLiens was the soundtrack to my childhood while growing up in Georgia. The Cool was the first album I studied for conceptual stories and lyrics.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Seen This All B4” My wife and I actually wrote this song in the car while driving around Phoenix, AZ during the nighttime. It was inspired by lots of 80's music, early 00's alternative, and the scriptures found in Proverbs 5:3-7.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing as a finalist at the BMI Urban showcase in 2013, placing in the top 200 dancers of So You Think You Can Dance Season 12, and more recently earning a placement on the Nerds Clothing x Street Fighter 6 Steel Sessions album.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's a lot actually but I want to narrow it down to a few: perform at Madison Square Garden, headline a couple major tours, collaborate with some of my favorite producers (Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, DJ Premier), and go multi platinum on albums.
