While the pulsing beat of “Ignorance” and the gentle thrum of “Underside” hint at You Say Party’s dance-punk roots, expansive tracks like the glacial lullaby “Sleepyhead,” the fractured instrumental “Fortitude,” and slowly unwinding closer “Heading in the Direction of the Rising Sun” showcase a band shifting its perception of self in real time, to stirring results.
