To soundtrack the story of one of hockey’s greatest comebacks, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy lean on lead actor Diljit Dosanjh, a rising singer in his own right. The folksy “Ishq Di Baajiyaan” sets the tone as solemn, yet inspiring. Ehsaan Noorani whips up a dusty country riff for “Soorma Anthem”, while there are superb vocals from Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan on the dance floor-friendly “Good Man Di Laaltain”. Shankar Mahadevan flexes effortlessly on the bittersweet “Pardesiya”, then flips into party mode on the shapeshifting “Flicker Singh”.
