Listen to Tú, Yo y la Luna by El Chapo De Sinaloa
El Chapo De Sinaloa
Tú, Yo y la Luna
Album · Música Mexicana · 2004
Nearly 10 years after leaving session work behind, El Chapo settles into a comfortable groove of alternating corrido and bolero numbers with traditional rancheras. His bustling horn section is on fine display, too. Opening cut “Tú, Yo y la Luna” unleashes boisterous brass as the drummer goes wild, while “Para Que Regreses” alternates between tuba blats and El Chapo’s good-humored vocals. Fans of the singer’s romantic side should head to “Si Yo Fuera Ladrón,” a midtempo ballad in which clarinet licks dart around El Chapo’s mournful verses.
