Damnesia

Alkaline Trio celebrated their 15th anniversary by proving that their heartbroken punk could hit just as hard in acoustic form. Even when caustic anthems like "We've Had Enough" and "Private Eye" are stripped of their customary distortion, frontman Matt Skiba's commanding voice makes them sound as defiant as ever. Meanwhile, unadorned takes of "Blue In the Face" and "Radio" highlight the vulnerability, sardonic wit, and sturdy melodies that turned the Trio into a punk institution worth celebrating.
