Lewisham duo D-Block Europe show no signs of slowing down on their third mixtape of 2019 Street Trauma. It’s a work rate that’s taken Young Adz and Dirtbike LB up the charts and to The Brits, nominated in the Best Group category alongside Coldplay. This project includes no features, instead putting fans at the centre of their world over hazy, trap beats. Lyrically they cover partying, drug taking, sex and designer clothes in unfiltered detail on “Molly World”, “Bando Boy” and “Creep”, but more surprisingly the pair also get deep about depression and parenthood (on “Prescription Drugs” and “Set In Stone”). It’s that honesty that’s sending the DBE sound way beyond the streets.
