It's little wonder that stalwart music director Yuvan Shankar Raja's soundtrack to the romance Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, which is also his highly-anticipated debut as a film producer, is as gorgeously intricate as his very best work. "High On Love" is a touchstone that floats atop a sea of skittering synths and a drum machine. "Surprise Me", with its inspired pan flute solo, features YSR himself sharing vocals with Priya Mali. Most affecting of all is the heartbreaking closer "Its Over", where there is only sparse instrumentation to keep Shweta Pandit's hushed and lonely voice company.
