Composer Gopi Sundar keeps the flag of love flying high on Tamil flick Velan, conjuring moods with help from a bevy of singers and lyricists. Velmurugan delivers a throaty performance on the cheeky “Dandanakka Dandanakka Thavuladi”, which is informed by Tamil folk percussion. Sundar and Shane Extreme deliver a rock treatment for “Sathiyama Sollurandi”, a duet between Mugen Rao and K. Sivaangi, while “Ennai Aalum Pennilave” is a lofty pairing between Pradeep Kumar and Priyanka NK. Rao also features on the intimate electronic ballad “Kaanal Neer Aanathe”.
