Sooraj Barjatya’s adventure drama about a group of ageing pals who trek to Everest Base Camp is inspiring, witty and uplifting in all the right places. So it’s only fitting that its soundtrack—composed by Amit Trivedi with lyrics by Irshad Kamil—captures the spirit of the film with a set of songs variously whimsical, motivational and moving. Light-hearted toe-tapper “Keti Ko” is a fun and affecting opener before Trivedi works his magic on tunes like the rollicking “Arre Oh Uncle”, the euphoric sax-led “Haan Kar De” and the catchy, pacy pop belter “Ladki Pahadi”.
