Of Mice & Men
Cold World
Album · Rock · 2016 · Rise Records
On their fourth LP, the Californian metalcore titans sharpen their edges. More diverse than anything they’ve released to date, Cold World is as moody as it is concussive. Opener “Game of War” is a chilling, Tool-like reflection on the 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, while “Pain” finds frontman Austin Carlile opening up about his longtime fight with Marfan syndrome in convincing fashion.
