Prolific film music composer Anirudh Ravichander adds this fiery soundtrack to his ever-growing collection. Vim and vigour coarse throughout Jailer, uplifting the Tamil action comedy flick at every turn. A beckoning flute kicks it off on “Kaavaalaa”—an intense opener heightened by Shilpa Rao’s alluring Tamil and Telugu vocals—and from there it’s clarion call after clarion call to the dance floor. Rock riffs drive the “Jailer Theme” and its drill version, relentless dance ignites “Jujubee”—and the ballad “Rathamaarey”, both subtle and soaring, makes for an arresting contrast.
