Throughout his career, the rapper, producer, composer, actor, and fashion icon born Rikhado Makhado dedicated himself to authentic South African rap, fusing stories of life’s highs and heartaches and meditations on familial love with sleek, high-end production. Songs like “Murdah” and “Stay Shining” showcased his love of classic kwaito beats, while blistering verses on “Amantombanze (Remix)” and “Boss Zonke” offered a view into a wordsmith at the top of his game.
