Listen to Pay the Devil by Van Morrison
Van Morrison

Pay the Devil

Album · Pop · 2006 · Van Morrison
Revitalizing tunes made famous by country legends like George Jones, Hank Williams, and Webb Pierce, Van Morrison warmly embraces the Nashville side of his influences on Pay the Devil. Even original tunes like “This Has Got to Stop” and the title track overflow with honky-tonkin’ twang. But Morrison brings something unique to the Music City songbook simply by sticking to his signature, soul-soaked vocal style. In other words, in addition to converting country lovers to Morrison’s corner, this outing is bound to thrill hardcore Van fans.
