Mani Longia has landed some of his biggest hits as a lyricist and composer for stars like Ammy Virk, Jordan Sandhu and Parmish Verma. But since the mid-2010s the Punjabi singer-songwriter has also enjoyed an impressively prolific career as a lead artist. Starting Over is his fourth album in just 18 months—a period in which he’s also released more than a dozen singles. It bears the same effortless blend of bhangra and hip-hop that defines his work, all of it delivered in his hearty, impassioned voice. As such, it isn’t quite a reset but a reminder of just how sharp Longia is at what he does.
