North Carolina-based norteño ensemble Los Primos Del Este may seem geographically distant from some of their chosen genre’s most visible locales. Yet with every new project they release, the group further affirm their position among the best operating on either side of the border. AMOR DE SUBIDA marks their second drop of 2025, following January’s romantically inclined Luna De Miel. Beginning with the sincerely insatiable narrative of “ME TIENES LOCO,” the group run through 10 songs with hearts firmly affixed to their sleeves, with sentiments carrying through the wistful “JÁLATE CONMIGO” and the yearning “NO TE ENAMORES DE NADIE.” The accordion swells on cuts like “NO TE HUBIERA BESADO” and the penitent “PERDÓNAME” add considerable depth and warmth, the instrument meshing beautifully with the saxophone surges of “TE MUEVES MUY BIEN.” A team-up with none other than Santa Fe Klan, “30 DÍAS” infuses some hip-hop attitude into their otherwise tender track.
